Course overview
Topics covered will relate to common Prepress needs of the Industrial market place; Spot colors, Indichrome, imposition and Barcode job options. During the second half of the class the focus will shift to the HP SmartStream Labels and Packaging Color Kit powered by EskoArtwork. This will include using the profiling tool to profile the press, instruction on dealing with special colors, and creating bundles of color management specifications called Color Strategies to support an automated workflow. Finally, the Variable Data tools will be introduced with a focus on Sequential numbering and variable barcode file
submittal.
The course provides 40 percent lecture and 60 percent hands-on.

Prerequisites
Minimum of 1 year digital prepress experience Macintosh or PC
If applicable a working knowledge of variable data
If applicable a working knowledge of color theory, color profiling and color measurement and calibration tools

• Understand the HP Indigo Print Care package that is part of the press software, this tool provides different troubleshooting tools together with Print Quality Assist tool.
